Eventing Ireland Thoroughbred League Update

DUNRATH ARCHIBALD and BELLE SARU are fighting it out for the top spot on the Treo Eile Eventing Ireland Thoroughbred League.

Last week’s event at Grove saw two very impressive combinations score winning and place points which has helped them climb the leader board.

In the EI100 (Amateur), first, Charlie Walshe’s owner-ridden HEROBRINE on his winning dressage score of 21.8 penalties. HEROBRINE is a 10-year-old British-bred gelding by Black Sam Bellamy – Iborga, by Cyborg (bred by C.G. Johnson). Unplaced in two point-to-points and a maiden hurdle in the 2016/17 National Hunt season when trained by Andrew McNamara.
In the same class (EI100 (Amateur)) placing third, Rachael O’Callaghan’s owner-ridden JUSTBECOOL on his dressage score of 29 penalties. JUSTBECOOL is a six-year-old gelding by Canford Cliffs – Centenerola, by Century City (bred by Lynn Lodge Stud). Placed in a bumper and three times over hurdles in 2020 and 2021 when trained first by Dot Love and then by Ciaran Murphy.
