It was the week of the Treo Eile Christmas Show and all through the show grounds not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse – well, maybe not! It is definitely not quiet behind the scenes but everything is taking shape ahead of the show on Thursday 12th December and the day is sure to be an exciting and competitive one!
Professional riders include Dublin Horse Show’s puissance winner, Commandant Geoff Curran from the Irish Army Equitation School, Olympic eventer Joseph Murphy and European medallist, Elizabeth ‘Esib’ Power will also line-out for the team event.
Former jockey Robbie Power will team up with Sizing John to try and add the HRI Treo Eile Thoroughbred Classic Cup to their trophy cabinet. The pair were victorious in three Gold Cups in 2017: the Leopardstown Gold Cup, the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Punchestown Gold Cup.
As the programme gets sent to print and the final touches are being made to the decorations, it is starting to feel very real and we are excited to see you there on the night. The teams and the sponsors are being released daily (check out our Facebook and Instagram) so be sure to get your tickets and don’t miss out!
