Randox Health Flatwork & Showing Clinic Report

With the showing season starting to  kick off it was the perfect time to have another showing clinic to help our thoroughbreds on their journeys in their second career.  On Wednesday evening 14 thoroughbreds made their way to Emerald Equestrian Centre, where they were met by Joanne Quirke.  There were four groups which catered for the thoroughbred who were just beginning their retraining career with a view to entering the show ring right up to the Open section where we had some seasoned campaigners join in for some tips and tricks to take forward to the show ring this summer.  With riders travelling from as far as Wexford it was great to have such a turnout for the clinic.

Each group progressed through the different elements of the show class and even practiced their show piece. Though the weather threatened to break a few times, it proved to be a dry evening and there was a great atmosphere amongst riders and supporters alike the whole evening.   Special thanks to Joanne who was so open in sharing her tips and tricks with the riders and offering advice on their next steps.  All of the combinations grew in confidence during their sessions and left feeling like they had accomplished something and with a plan going forward.

Huge thanks to Randox Health for their continued support with these clinics. It is wonderful to see the partnerships building under guidance of expert coaches each time.

As previously mentioned the showing season is starting to kick off and the Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series kicked off last weekend at Midleton Agricultural Show – keep an eye out for the report from that coming soon! Dates for upcoming qualifiers can be found here
