Our recent Show Jumping Clinics with Tom Walsh were a huge success! Over the three weeks, 11 horse and rider combinations participated, focusing on improving rhythm, balance, stride control, and course strategy. Riders saw clear progress in both their technique and confidence, thanks to Tom’s expert coaching. There was great comradery shown with friendships forming in the community.

On the final day, we were joined by Christine McBride from North Coast Equestrian (HSI Level 2 Coach and Equipe Saddle Fitting Specialist), who provided expert saddle fitting advice. Attendees received goody bags, and Christine’s expertise was highly valued. You can contact Christine at North Coast Equestrian for advice on saddle fitting and so much more for your thoroughbred.
Another highlight for those that attended was the random draw each week for a Micklem Bridle! The bridles were kindly donated by Gerry Boyle from Horseware Ireland. Rebecca McIntyre, Jamie Buckley and Patricia Newman were the lucky ones and each took home a bridle but don’t worry we have lots more to give out over the coming months!
We’re thrilled to announce that Tom Walsh has kindly offered his mentoring services to all Treo Eile members—a fantastic opportunity for ongoing support and development.
Also, don’t miss Tom at the unregistered jumping at Emerald Equestrian Centre this Friday 28th March. There will be spot prizes for thoroughbreds competing — a great opportunity to showcase your skills! This is open to anyone and entries can be made directly through Jump Time.
Thank you to everyone who attended we can’t wait to see you at future clinics and competitions.
