Introduction
The aim of the Treo Eile Thoroughbred Performance Class is to demonstrate the potential of the Thoroughbred horse and the suitability of ex-racehorses in a second career ; rideability, scope, versatility and suitability for the amateur & professional rider. The class is kindly sponsored by Agria Insurance.

Overview of classes as follows:
Age of Horses & Riders
Horses eligible to compete must be 5-year-olds (foaled in 2020) or over.
Riders must be in their fourteenth year or over.
Format of Classes
- *Intermediate Thoroughbred Performance – 90cms
- Open Thoroughbred Performance – 1m
The classes incorporate three phases; Flat Work, Jumping and Suitability & Type Phase.
The competitor will enter the jumping arena, present to the judge, which commences the the Flatwork phase. On completion of the final halt, the competitor proceeds to fence one. Once the competitor has completed the Ridden Phases, they will proceed to strip the horse and present in-hand to the Suitability & Type judge. All three phases will run consecutively.
The jumping course will consist of approximately 6 showjumping fences and 6 cross country style fences.
*Horses that have not competed above Eventing Ireland EI100, Showjumping Ireland 1m, AIRC Open, IPC intermediate
Prize Money
In each class, prize money is allocated on the following scale:
1st Place €500 2nd Place €250 3rd Place €100, 4th Place €50, 5th Place €50, 6th Place €50
Agria Insurance will also present a winner’s rug and merchandise to the prizewinners.
Conditions of Entry:
Horses must be registered with Treo Eile (FREE on www.treoeile.com/register).
All entries must have a Weatherbys or equivalent racing authority passport. The passport must be available for checking at the show.
Horses must be entered using the name as per the Weatherbys or equivalent recognised foreign racing authority passport.
