Regular lessons or coaching is often the fastest way to improving the partnership with your horse.  Coaches featured here have had experience with ex-racehorses and will often be familiar with their quirky traits.  Very often a ‘problem’ can be clearly identified and quickly overcome with simple advice.  A coach may also wish to ride your horse and this can also be a welcome shortcut. 

If you know the discipline you wish to enter then search for a coach in that area, otherwise seek someone who can advise you on what your horse my best be suited to.  Coaches will also be able to advise on the appropriate competitive route/levels.
