Based in Donegal, Ruth Stack has worked in racing, eventing and showjumping yards and has retrained several ex racers, falling in love with their intelligence, athleticism and attitude to work.

 She bought her first ex racer – Honest Robber and took such enjoyment in retraining and finding him the perfect new home, so began making it a regular thing with many going to Riding Club homes. “I’m lucky to be based at the wonderful Deane’s Equestrian Centre, with indoor & outdoor arenas, as well as lovely off road hacking – it’s perfect for introducing racehorses to a new leisure or sports career” says Ruth.

 She enjoys introducing people to the versatility of the thoroughbreds, as well as breaking down the stigma that some people label them with.
