Emily & Lilly Bobtail Triumph in Killossery Lodge Thoroughbred Arena Eventing League

The Killossery Lodge Thoroughbred Arena Eventing League concluded last weekend, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication among participants. Emerging as the league champions were Emily Taylor and her five-year-old filly, Lilly Bobtail, an unraced progeny of Harzand bred by Liam Gavin. Despite finishing second on the final day, their two prior victories in the league secured them the overall title.

Speaking after her win, Emily remarked, “It’s lucky she’s permanently retired from racing as her four-year-old half-sister finished second at a Point-to-Point at the weekend—I worry Ciaran may have got ideas otherwise! My plan is to do some of the Western Region Starter Series in March and then some dressage and eventing during the year. I have my eye on a trip to the ROR Dressage Championships in Aintree if things work out, but we will see.”

Aoife Brady and Linkenholt secured second place overall, consistently delivering impressive dressage scores throughout the league. On the final day, they achieved a dressage score of 19.8 adding faults during the jumping phase, resulting in a third-place finish on the day. Louise Duffy and Al Boum Photo claimed third place in the league, also securing a win in one of the qualifiers.
